Our troupe participated in its annual "Chun Ji" (Spring Praying) festival in the lunar month of March this year. This particular event is one of the two events the troupe participates in every year to pray to its ancestors and educating the newer generation on the traditional virtue of respect. We set off to Kwong Wai Siew Peck San Theng in the late morning for the praying of deities and ancestors at our two sites before performing our lion dance and martial arts in front of the masses. A simple dinner ensued on the same night for a gathering of our members to commemorate the good deeds our ancestors had done for the clan association and foster stronger bonds amongst us.
